Diestruck - Hard Enamel & Cloisonné

This original pin process was invented by the Chinese and made popular by the French as cloisonné. This pin has the highest perceived value and has a jewel-like luster to its finish. Colours are hand-filled with a glass-like mixture and then is fired in a kiln at 1700°F for 2–4 minutes. Each colour is fired independently so that no bleed of colours occur. Each pin is individually hand polished and then gold or silver plated. The final finish is very resistant to scratching. A pin of exquisite beauty is then produced. Each pin is individually hand crafted.
